THE
CHILDREN ARE THE FUTURE
I hope they can afford to breathe.
So,
I worry about the future! Maybe, I watch too much news. But, one
of the things I've realized is the everyday folks running around
the planet just trying to make it all work are increasingly critical
of the government. The problem is we/us, the citizens, are so
much smarter than those that run for office. From the president
down the slippery slope to the lowest levels it seems they just
can't come up with good/well balanced ideas that work.
So,
we say things like we don't trust them anymore, but why don't
we trust them? Go deeper, think deeper and ask the question WHY?
And you will find that almost anyone of normal intelligence can
think about a problem and come out with a solution that has a
chance to work. One of my peeve issues that brought me to this
subject is this: take just one small part of the deficit. We go
to war, which I won't get into, but we all know the price for
war is exorbitant and in the meantime our own economy sucks. We
have a wealthy president that insists on giving a tax cut to the
wealthy and in the name of fairness I guess that makes sense,
but over and over I hear some of those folks saying I don't
need it, I don't want it. Now individually they could send
it back (I guess) but that really wouldn't help. But collectively
all those millions/billions would help our national debt enormously.
My idea if they really feel the economy would jump start
with people having more to spend is to give more to the
people that struggle with raising children and that work hard
everyday and still bring home a minimum wage. These folks save
to buy a new sofa or bed and they will spend the extra money because
it is just that EXTRA MONEY. It would also give them a
boost, a real bonus in life. Everybody deserves it, but in these
slim times giving the right people a break could do more for their
self-esteem, and that is priceless.
I believe children are Karmic, we get the children we agreed to
bring in, we will always have them around and they certainly do
balance the world. I always ask new parents, Did you ever
think you could love anyone like this? I always know they
could never even imagine it. I just counted sixteen babies under
four years old within my own circle of friends and family.
I love sharing information about who they are, what will they
be like? Most people will say, OH! You're having a Virgo, or
a Gemini, but what does that mean?
