If we examine allopathy vs. homeopathy or other forms of complementary healing approaches, we would probably conclude that allopathy is structured around the traditional values of “the masculine”. In the United States, most of us view God as masculine. We see that allopathy wishes to control or exert its hierarchical influence over complementary practitioners who utilize the model of “feminine values” and tends to employ a linear approach to curing without considering the needs of the whole being.

Let me give you a quick synopsis of hundreds of thousands of years of history:

Hundred of thousands of years ago to 10,000 B.C.E. - Goddess appeared as the only Supreme Deity (5)

Seventh-Sixth Millennium B. C. E.“God and Goddess existed together (6) 2500 B. C. E.”-The Goddess began to be overpowered by the God (7)

by 200 C. E. - virtually all feminine imagery for God had disappeared from Christian texts  (8) by 500 C. E. - The God became responsible for all of creation and appeared as the only Supreme Deity by 1200 C. E. - Female healers were replaced by educated male physicians - the traditional wise woman and midwife began to be accused of having magical powers and to be killed for using her powers to help others (9)

1235 C. E. - Papal Inquisition established to identify and kill heretics (10)

late 1300's C.E. - In France and England, women rarely allowed to sit for licensing exams to practice healing - women called “idiots who gathered herbs and practice religious nonsense” (11)
