Help
the Universe: Pray for the Mission, and we'll get the right man.
Last month
something unusual happened... I got mail... hate mail... this
upset me.
I
don't usually over-react, but this was an attack on a personal
level. This one lady said that I scared her because I had something
to say about Mr. Bush. The other letter was from a gentleman who
threatened to stop reading Aquarius, and he's going
to tell his friends.
Oh no! Don't do that! I felt like I was back in elementary
school. Now, I didn't mind hearing from these two people,
but what I did mind was the mean-spirited energy that came through
so strongly that it was like a slap in the face. The lady wrote,
How could I be a Spiritual person?
My answer: How can I be Spiritual and what? Have
an opinion? She referred to Aquarius as a left
wing rag, then continued to ask How, pray tell,
can you profess to be some enlightened truth seeker and
spreader?
Well, I'll tell you what!!! I am now and have always been
my own person. I don't try to sway anyone to my way of thinking,
and I'm offended by the mean raw-spirited way some right-winged
Republicans conduct themselves. I think it's interesting that
they are known as the right party because they certainly
have an obsession to be right. I wish President Bush was right.
I wish I did think he was doing a good job. I wish the same money
we've squandered in Iraq had been put towards the war that
was right the one that went after Al-Qaeda.
If we had stayed in Afghanistan, and kept our eye on ball there,
we would have plenty of money to secure America and create a model
Afghanistan for the others to admire and ultimately want for themselves.
Please... I can read your twisted mind that says Oh, no
we really needed to do that other war... Saddam was a bad man.
I'm so glad he's the only bad man around and now we're
all better off.
What a crock... but then I'm a sixties hippy chick
flower child that got caught in an energy warp (powerful drugs
those were)... that's another excerpt from my right-winger.
She also said, I could write pages to point out the 'darkness'
in your writings and beliefs and how greatly you aid the dark
side when you publish such crap.
I read what I wrote last month and so did some friends that disagree
with me; we couldn't find anything 'Dark'.
The funny part is this: I never had any intentions of talking
about the election again this month, so I hope she's happy.
We purposely chose an article written by Deepak Chopra called
Ending War One Person at a Time. We wanted a balanced new
approach that will support the winning candidate, whoever it turns
out to be. The idea that having a different opinion is unpatriotic
is ludicrous.
I want everyone to know that we have been swamped at the Aquarius
office with information about the misleading shenanigans of the
entire Bush administration. I feel we have taken the high road
just by choosing not to get caught up in the negativity of it
all. It would have been easy to stand behind the numerous associations
and foundations that sent some pretty good intelligence against
Bush policies. In retrospect we did very little. I simply agree
vote your heart, but vote.
I have written about responsibility before The time to
show up is now. I think the worse thing that could easily happen
is another race that's too close to call accurately. This
would just be bad for both parties. If we all vote, and every
vote is counted, we should have a clear answer to who the people
want for president. If the popular vote is negated by the Electoral
vote (again), I think we need to put an end to this rule of law.
If this should happen again, that's the time that our 'Spiritual'
loving side and all our cosmic knowledge will be needed. We don't
know the lessons that surround this election. We don't know
if maybe a major upset could change the entire voting system for
all Americans for the better. Our whole political system
is broken and only a outcry from the people seems to make a difference
in Washington. I'm always comforted knowing and trusting that
there aren't any accidents. It's all perfect, and we're
all learning what we need to learn. May the man that chooses the
Mission 'win.'
Now, since Christmas is right around the corner, I'd like
to share how I do my shopping. I have people on my list for whom
I buy 'stuff' for which I'’m forced to go into
boring 'real' stores. Not a mall Oh no, not me
I don't do shopping malls! But, I can do strip malls
and regular stores when I absolutely have to.
My real fun starts when I can visit the metaphysical stores
and buy the gifts that mean something. An affirmation book is
always good; I have several in my bathroom, don't you??? Or
my girlfriends always like my taste in jewelry and think of me
several times throughout the year when they dress for work (or
play). I sometimes get a phone call and lunch date because they
wore the earrings I bought them that day and were thinking of
me!
So
many wonderful things that are interesting, different and meaningful
can be found in these stores. They're the best place for men
to shop too. So get the boring shopping finished, then
visit our advertisers!
Bye honeys,
