Becoming
an Alchemist
By
Kathryn Ravenwood
I never thought I would be an alchemist. Aren't alchemists
those old guys depicted through faded woodcut prints as they mix up
strange concoctions in ancient pharmacies? Didn't they turn lead
into gold? And, hey, where is all that gold anyway? If they were so
good at it, why don't we know how to do that today?
Well, we DO know how to do that. Being an alchemist is all about transforming
the lower qualities of our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual
lives into the gold of health, vitality, and clear connection with the
Divine. It really IS all about getting the lead out and
going for the gold.
Anything is possible; there are no limitations, and all it takes is
for us to follow the simple, yet incredibly powerful path of Alchemical
Healing as brought to us by Thoth, the Egyptian god of wisdom.
Don't know how to find Thoth? Don't know if you believe in such
things? No problem. Just read Nicki Scully's book, Alchemical
Healing, A Guide to Spiritual, Physical, and Transformational Medicine,
and prepare for personal transformation.
I met and began working with Nicki in 1998. Things have never been the
same! Nicki is a great catalyst of healing. I have tried many healing
modalities and a few of them I even thought were it until
I experienced Alchemical Healing.
This is the real deal. Alchemical Healing is a very powerful way to
effect positive change in most situations. It is like running the universal
life force energy through power tools the main tools being my
hands after receiving Alchemical Healing attunements. Alchemical Healing
really is unique; and it works.
Each of us is the sacred vessel of life within which transformation
happens. The base material or lead is the matter as in what's
the matter? Alchemy is the process of turning the matter,
the disease, fear, judgment, ego limitations, injury, or whatever into
vitality, love, enthusiasm, healing, and a rich connection with life.
The universal life force energy, plant spirits, animal totems, spirit
guides, our ancestors, and the elements of Nature, earth, water, fire,
and air all conspire to assist us in the process. We skillfully stir
these elements in our internal cauldrons, and Voila! The matter is transformed
from lead into gold. I have seen instant healing and I mean RIGHT
NOW and I have seen delayed reactions that work outside of time
and space.
Alchemical Healing is powerful, fun, exciting, and all you need are
your two hands, the clear guidance from the book or an Alchemical Healing
teacher, and your own unlimited imagination.
Along the way I have also gone through immense personal alchemy and
transformation. While I was busy learning how to heal others with this
work, lo and behold if my own stuff didn't come up to
the surface just crying out for attention and healing.
One instance is that I had suffered from a grinding kneecap for years.
One day while walking up stairs, I heard three distinct CLICKS and the
knee popped out, started to swell and hurt. By the end of the day it
was huge and I couldn't move it at all. I had visions of being off
work (as a self-employed person that is NOT good), needing surgery with
no health insurance and I got very scared. Then, I just said, This
is not acceptable. I am a healer and I know how to do this.

So I limped
off to my altar room, a room dedicated to meditation, and began to practice
what I'd learned from Alchemical Healing. A short time later my
knee was normal size, had no swelling, and no pain. The next day I was
back at work business as usual. There are so many examples
well, just come to the classes, you will experience it yourself.
Faded
woodcut prints from ancient alchemical tomes are pretty outmoded these
days. Now we have digital cameras and web sites, but don’t be
fooled. Alchemists are alive and well even with today's technology.
They aren't necessarily found in caves and castles, but I have done
the work in the women's room of a grocery store...
