Medicine 101

Using
energy medicine to create body magic becomes
one of the first lessons we learn in our
quest for wholeness. In this way we combine
our energy with our own internal guidance
to create the health and vitality we want.
The
term energy medicine often creates the illusion
that we only need it when we become sick.
However, energy medicine brings more than
balanced health. We create energy medicine
when we listen to our intuition, live in
honesty, and practice self-love. Energy
medicine leads us to honor harmony, honesty,
and integrity by teaching us to respect
the truth that all living creatures bring.
By
using energy medicine and the ideas of living
in integrity and following our intuitive
guide, we create good body magic. Body magic
occurs with our every breath, blink, and
heart beat. Rather than control our body
magic, we allow body magic to happen for
us and within us. We facilitate our body
magic when we work towards health and wellness.
Body magic incorporates the emotional, mental,
and spiritual sides of our lives, and through
energy medicine integrates them into our
physical realities.
The
best energy medicine lies not in living
perfect lives but in how we choose to live
each moment with honesty and integrity.
Perfection comes when we listen to our inner
guidance and ignore the voices that steal
our spirit and cause our body magic to become
distorted. Would you scream to your neighbor
over the fence that her legs were fat and
she should be ashamed to be seen in shorts?
Absolutely not! Yet, we allow such voices
to scream in our heads all day long. We
berate ourselves and beat ourselves up every
hour of every day. The energy medicine we
create in our lives determines how our body
magic works in creating inner health.
With
clients and students, my first concern is
finding out how they use energy medicine
in their lives. By understanding what they
do to create their body magic, I understand
different ways to facilitate their process
in creating good health and peaceful surroundings.
In
my practice, “how to” matters
more than “why.” When clients
ask me why they are divorcing or why they
have to have back pain they are merely creating
a smoke screen. In this way their energy
medicine becomes corrupted by confusion.
Clarity always seems like a wonderful antidote
to such confusion. The path to clarity might
lead us to ask, “How does this divorce
enhance and embrace my self love?”
or “How can I use this back pain to
lead me to my higher purpose?”
