Incorporated as Vedic City on July 25, 2001, this is Iowa's first new town in nineteen years. Every resident practices transcendental meditation (TM) for inner serenity and limitless awareness, follows vedic programs for good health, and sends peaceful vibrations throughout the world.

Created by devoted followers of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who introduced Transcendental Meditation (TM) to the Baby Boomer generation, Vedic City is the nation's first town built entirely on Sthapatya Veda or “natural law” architectural principles.
