Love
is in Your Hands
by Bonnie W. Mason Every
thought you think affects the love you send into the world.
And it shows in your hands, according to Jodale Brodnax.
Jodale, who has studied palmistry as well as
the power of thought for years, first noticed the connection
in 1974 when an aura photograph showed the energy around
her hands.
"At first," says Jodale, "there was very little glow around my fingertips." Then Jodale concentrated on sending loving thoughts into the universe. "Energy follows thought," she says. The next photo revealed beautiful sparks of light all around her fingertips. This light, produced by the power of loving thought, can help with healing. "Your hand is in the hand of God," says Jodale. When a mother places a loving hand on a child's fevered brow, she is sending healing energy to the child. "As we learn to love ourselves more," says Jodale, "it shows in our hands. Look at the heart line in your hand." (See illustration of hand.) "If this line is faint or short, it may possibly mean that you are not fulfilled in love. But lines in your hand can change," says Jodale. "The love line can appear deeper and longer as we learn to love ourselves and others more." Jodale has used this knowledge of the loving energy in our hands and in our thoughts, to heal herself of a terminal illness. In 1991, she was diagnosed with cancer. At one point, she was given only a few months to live. Her healing journey began each and every day with these affirmations: "Today, I love and support you, Jodale, just the way you are, in all your power and magnificence. Peace, love, and joy abide in me." Her hands also played a part in her healing. Jodale, who can see auras, stared at her hands until she saw the healing light of green energy around them. Then she gently placed her hands on parts of her body where there was cancer. Today, Jodale Brodnax is completely well, and she radiates happiness. Much of the credit goes to the combined healing potency of her thoughts, prayers, and the healing energy she channeled to herself through her hands. Editor's
note: Jodale was diagnosed on
April 13, 1991, and had surgery to remove a
portion of her lung. When pain continued afterwards, it was later discovered that she had cancer in her stomach, as well. One doctor wanted to operate immediately and the other wanted to start chemotherapy. Jodale had had it with medical interventions at this point, however, and took matters into her own hands. She takes up the story from this point.
