Karma
is a Kick
Why
do bad things happen to good people???
Why do some people die of old age, while babies live only hours
or are born still-born?
Why are some people born with a silver spoon and lots of resources
available to them, and some people are born without any advantages
at all?
Why
do some fortunate folks lose their way, while others with less
exceed all expectations?
Why are some people positive, happy, honest and content to have
a job like collecting garbage, while others with prestige and
lots more money still have a need to be greedy and dishonest?
Why... Why... Why? It's Karma.
When I first became aware of the Metaphysical Communities, I was
shocked to find so many people had a mind set that was based on
a non-denominational belief system that was world wide and vastly
received by every culture. While on my own journey on the learning
path of how the universe works and understanding its laws, I discovered
in the center of it all is the word KARMA.
Now, if you don't believe in multiple lifetimes then we don't
think alike on this and that's OK. I will allow you your limited
perspective if you'll stay open to the possibility that our
souls are infinite. You can say we have a difference of opinion
right now, but we can still love each other. Can't we?
You see that's the main difference in living a Spiritual life
as opposed to being a religious follower. It's the fact that
we can express an opinion and allow another to honor and express
theirs, and still love them for simply being them.
Karma hasn't hit mainstream America as a house-hold word yet!
Maybe it will someday soon, maybe not, but one day you will hear
on television that this person, we'll call him 'Big,'
decided to move back to New York because he needed to complete
his karma there. His attraction to his girlfriend Carrie is an
obvious connection carried over from another life-time. It will
be really cool to understand that we aren't just attracted
to certain people for reasons unknown, instead we will recognize
that we have a contract and another opportunity to finalize some
unfinished business/lesson with them.
Understanding and excepting Karma will be a great revelation for
mankind. Karma is an accumulation of debts and credits from multiple
lifetimes. It's a heavenly checkbook that tracks the way we
deal with our lessons. Karma will surface as a serious way in
which we live our lives, when we are willing to recognize each
moment as a chance to balance that checkbook. This concept requires
a very open mind and an unlimited belief in God's power. We
must also trust that everything that happens to us is in divine
order.
Karma will be heard by some as 'new information' although
everyone seems to have an idea of what it is. We are learning
to accept new concepts everyday, thank God.
The New Age or Information Age is getting bombarded with some
great things.
For example, aren't scientists amazed at the new data being
sent to earth from Mars? Aliens from Mars are soon to be proven
true. Aren't we all anxious to see who will be the Democratic
choice to win the White House? Don't we marvel at the new
revelations coming out almost daily about using alternative medicines?
Let's talk about Mel Gibson's new movie 'The Passion'
that portrays the last twelve hours of Jesus Christ. Are you surprised
that the Christian foundation was recently shaken after finding
out about the scandalous priests abusing our children? Don't
we need to question if the light shown on this disgrace was perhaps
to open the doors to allow us to find other flaws and untruths?
Should the scriptures in the four gospels of the New Testament
be scrutinized further? I heard 'The God Squad' say it's
time to grow up and find the truth. What a concept that is!
Maybe if all the 'old' energy/scriptures from all the
Holy Books could be re-written we could take out all the gibberish
and use straight talk to teach us the way to Nirvana. It might
even be the way to end Holy Wars and bring us Peace. See, I just
heard you say, That will never happen. Please stop
saying never, just take it out of your vocabulary, because as
long as we limit what we think will be or can be we limit and
stop trusting God. This is why 'Karma' has a while before
it can be understood. It's such a difficult subject to explain.
If the Karmic system defines an absolute justice for what you
do, good or bad, then we would second guess and be responsible
for everything we say and do. It's hard to imagine we have
several other lifetimes influencing this lifetime. And where does
free will fit into the mix??
I write about Karma because it makes me feel like I'm doing
my part in bringing awareness to this theory.
There are lots of complicating questions that seem to create more
questions not easily explained. One answer that won't go wrong,
is to help mankind however possible everyday.
