Expanding
Energy with Honor
By
Michelle Payton
What if you were aware that you had a short time to live in your
current physical body? One night, I had a dream that I had a fatal
disease. Having major emotional impact, the day after my dream,
I was walking with my family and announced, I'm detaching
myself
from some of my physical needs and vices. My patient husband
and partner whom I have shared my life with for over twenty years
said, Great! and he waited for me to expand on this
idea. I told him about my dream and explained that we have some
debt that we will chip away at (our plan was in place) and we're
handling this honorably but our physical needs are truly provided.
On relationship, we were both growing and feeling comfortable
in our ever changing skins and were clear that our personal quests
only strengthened our spiritual connection together and apart.
And with further contemplation, I realized how non-physical most
things really were and how our lives are truly exchanges in energy
that either expand or contract our spirits and the Universe.
Money: It's not the root of all evil but simply a means to
an end. It's an exchange of energy that includes faith and
honor. There was a day when the United States dollar bill was
backed up by gold but those days are gone. But what's interesting
is United States money states In God We Trust not
In Gold We Trust! Credit card spending is an interesting
process as well because you are extended credit on your word or
name. My name is honored with a very high credit rating. Even
higher than my husband's and he brings a much larger paycheck
home than I do. So what does that mean? It means that there are
a whole lot of financial institutions that are happy to extend
me credit because my pattern shows that I will pay them every
month, on time, and has shown that I will eventually pay them
in full. My pattern reflects integrity, they have faith in me
and my name is on the honor roll. So the question
is not if we have money but if we are nurturing our spirit demonstrating
honor and, in turn, feeding the Universe with integrity.
Many have witnessed people or companies who have walked away from
relationships (to individuals and/or organizations) that they
owed money because they don't acknowledge a connection to
this type of honest exchange. Numerous excuses can be made but
the fact still remains that not completing the circle reflects
dishonesty and grows like a virus into many other things with
those who practice this pattern. Karmic patterns can be worked
out but must be owned and seen for what they are before they can
be reversed, hence the truly non-physical reality of this type
of exchange of energy.
I was reading a book and at the end of the book the author shared
a few pages of her personal story. She had all the mainstream
things that she physically wanted but wasn't spiritually fulfilled
so began a quest which included divorcing her husband of ten years.
She didn't share the complete story, but it seemed as if this
was one of the answers to achieving her spiritual goals. So she
loaded up her ten-year-old daughter, drove away with whatever
she could fit in her car and lived in poverty for some time before
she found her footing (as well as a new spiritually enlightened
significant other).
I can empathize with people who turn away from those who see them
as their former selves. On the other hand, too many
rely on a quick exit as the answer. The statistics on divorce,
broken homes, one-parent households, poverty/welfare and troubled
children are astounding. Some would rather clean slate it and
walk away regardless of who and what it impacts. Imagine the horror
of a ten-year-old little girl being pulled out of a stable household
with regular meals, her own bedroom, consistent schooling and
friends to go with her mom on her spiritual quest! Don't get
me wrong, there are good reasons why some people leave
mental and/or physical abuse, drugs, alcohol, breaking out of
poverty as a result of addictive behavior(s), other drastic disrespect
for relationships like infidelity. But, there are many who leave
too soon because they're being self-centered, looking for
unrealistic instant gratification.
We truly have a short time to live in our current physical bodies.
And all roads lead to creating our soul maps and expanding our
spirits. While we may convince ourselves in certain situations
that something is only physical, look past the density of physical
matter and into the true spiritual contribution. Observe the way
we make healthy exchanges, handle ourselves with integrity, how
our word is synonymous with honor, have compassion, respect, empathy
and love for those currently in your life and celebrate how that
circle is completed in your life everyday. Our lives are truly
exchanges that either expand or contract our spirits and affect
the Universal flow of energy. Be the one to lead and rejoice as
you watch your example being followed.
