I’m happy to be entering our 14th year at Aquarius. It’s been a ride with all the bumps and curves and I’ve enjoyed the uphill drive and the mission so far. Some of you aren’t aware that my first career was in the service industry as a waitress and barmaid, for over thirty years. I was one of the first female bartenders in Atlanta and worked a club called the Brave Falcon Lounge. Back then DeKalb County was dry; can you imagine Atlanta only serving alcohol in one county?

Time goes by and changes occur whether you're ready or not, and growth happens. So, you might ask, how does one go from bartending to publishing a metaphysical/holistic paper that would help thousands find their Spiritual path and learn about things that they might not find other places?
The answer is this; I simply had a dream that couldn’t be ignored, and I followed the signs that brought me my mission with Aquarius. Obviously my bartending experience taught me some people skills and I knew how to sell ads, but I was also hiring graphic designers to take on jobs like bookkeeping. To say I didn’t have a clue of what I was doing would be putting it mildly. I’ve always said that Aquarius is God’s paper and that’s why we are around today.

I watched an interview on dateline with Oprah and she said, “God has a bigger and better plan for us that’s beyond our vision and understanding.” She said, she has just started her life’s work even with all the things she’s already accomplished, she’s waiting for what the Lord will bring her next, and I can relate to her. I feel the same way. Oprah is sure the movie "The Color Purple" was sent to her through Divine Intervention and has given her the money, power, and position to reach and do more for others.

Now, I’m not comparing myself with Oprah but why not, why wouldn’t I? We’re all Oprah and we all have a mission in life and we all get messages and direction in our dreams that manifest our reality. We are ALL-ONE energy, and completely connected.

My personal mission with Aquarius was different and took some Chutzpah to pull off. I mean, who starts a newspaper with literally no business experience, but nothing is impossible with God/Goddess on your side.

Now, I’ve not said anything different than what you might hear in church -- you know: pray and trust God, etc….. but what has changed is the level of information. Preachers don’t say they channel, but they talk to God, as if you can’t too. That’s why so many people are searching for their own Spirituality. I think Religious groups have had too much bad publicity.

They have finally been questioned, and for years they survived and grew because questioning wasn’t allowed. Their strong opinions were from the messenger -- the God behind it all -- and you don’t question God….

My truth is this: if you can’t be behind something 100% or if your own truth is compromised, you’re a hypocrite.

The religious sects being questioned, they will either get stronger or start losing power and I think the latter is happening. I think the churches that have a good message and embrace diversity will get stronger. The planet’s vibration is begging us to live and let live, and let go and let God…

The Universal intelligence that I’ll call God is about truth first and foremost, and can stand up to any questioning. I believe we are in the middle of a spiritual revelation that sees Metaphysics as the oldest belief system on Earth, one that can withstand truth. People are smart and they dislike false gods rooted in fear and limitation. They are tired of praising a God that speaks of evil and wants to punish you. God is only love, but life has lessons that aren’t always easy. A lesson gone wrong could look like a punishment, but it’s just a lesson.

Isn’t it interesting how some religions are so fearful of movies like the DiVinci Code? Mainstream America love the hit TV shows like “Medium” and “Ghost Whisperer.” Many more psychics and healers are in the spotlight today than ever before. The ancient divinations are coming back and when someone like “John of God” comes to Atlanta, the news media try to understand and be unbiased. Saying they're open-minded is stretching the truth, but the interviews I caught… It seemed they were forced to take a deeper look at what’s happening. When thousands came for healing each day they could not be dismissed.

The best part of growth is when it happens, it comes in from everywhere and you can’t stop it. This will eventually mean the world will be free. No one will think they have the right to dictate or force their opinions on others. Judgment will be in the past and the future will have tolerance and peace as our new foundation.
