We start off under the sun’s influence
in Gemini, the sign of versatility
and communication. This is the time
of year when objects and ideas are bandied
about. The mind is swift, agile and logical.
Gemini encourages us to spread our wings
and mimic the bumblebee, flitting from flower
to flower, to create just the right nectar.
By the 3rd, Mercury enters the domestic sign
of Cancer.
Thoughts turn sentimental, so it’s not
surprising to become absorbed in one’s history,
such as the family tree. It could be said that
thinking is done best by lakes or pools, since
the sign of Cancer rules enclosed or contained
bodies of water. On the same day, Mars
moves into the sun-loving sign of Leo. We’re
motivated by our sense of heartfelt loyalty.
There can be battles over issues of honesty
and sincerity, fought in broad daylight. By the
11th, the moon becomes full in Sagittarius,
the archer. This is, no doubt, a highly restless
time: not only does Gemini enjoy flitting, but
Sagittarius loves to travel farther than any
arrow dare fly. Seek a balance between logic
and theory, fact and philosophy.
On the 19th, Uranus moves retrograde, a
direction it will maintain until November 20.
Uranus represents, among other things, the
eccentric, yet brilliant. And in Pisces it highlights
those who may be extremists in their
own religious or spiritual fervor. A retrograde
motion suggests pulling energies inward. If
there is a silencing, it is temporary, as Uranus
loves to change tactics, utilizing the strategy
of the unexpected. On the 21st we celebrate
the Summer Solstice as the sun enters Cancer.
The crab enjoys cocooning within safe shelter.
Since it’s the sign of one’s roots, there is a
greater comfort level with family. Nurturing one
another takes on a high priority.
As Venus moves into Gemini on the 23rd,
she will guard against the likelihood of us all
becoming permanent homebodies. She loves
to chitchat in this sign and keep abreast of
local happenings. On the 25th we have our
new moon in Cancer. This is a great time to
plant new seeds involving home or family. So
if you’re planning to move during the summer
months, relocating after the 25th makes sense.
Mercury moves into Leo on the 28th. It is considered
to be weak here (in its fall); uncomfortable
in a sign that places more focus on ego
than intellect. If you find yourself in a debate,
ask yourself why you’re taking a particular
stance. Is it because you’d rather not budge
from your preconceived notions, or perhaps
you have too much of a vested interest in being
right? Leave plenty of room open for the creative
mind.
Aries (March 21 - Apr. 19)
Finances are pleasantly steady. Sock a little away for the proverbial rainy day and/or cash in on cumulative investments. Get out and about during the full moon. Travel if possible. By the 23rd priorities shift from the practical to the social as Venus enters Gemini and your solar 3rd. The mental night owl awakens, with Mercury in your solar 4th. Delving into historical literature is one option -- another is to move
things around in the home to make it even
cozier. And since Mars occupies your solar 5th
practically all month, you won’t be at a loss for
the creative touch. Remember to factor in some
romance. Mars in Leo enjoys showering loved
ones with affection.
Taurus (Apr. 20 - May 20)
Venus in your sign through the 22nd suggests primping is in order. Indulging in life’s pleasantries is mandatory. Fortunately you exude a loving aura, so others accommodate. Despite your fixed nature, restlessness abounds with Mercury in your solar 3rd. Keep in contact with siblings. When you come back to roost, you’ll enjoy the solitude of your domain. Give your subconscious permission to take you on a
joy ride during the full moon. It must be fun to visit other countries or even other planets while you’re sleeping! Diversify your financial perspective starting the 23rd. Money easily flows from a variety of sources. If you don’t already keep a journal, start one by month’s end.
Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
You’re mentally preoccupied by financial issues. Do your research, especially regarding cycles; but you’re better off waiting until after the 25th before making your move. Endear yourself to those in your immediate surroundings. If there’s a celebration in your neighborhood, by all means attend. And bring a good buddy along. You’ll be well received. If, during the course of the full moon, you happen to be the recipient of advice, solicited or otherwise, take heed. Although these ideas may seem far-fetched, they’re noteworthy nonetheless. Watch for unexpected distractions around the 19th, perhaps stemming from your higher-ups. From the 23rd forward, the universe reminds you how to flirt.
Cancer (June 21 - Jul. 22)

Leo (Jul. 23 - Aug. 22)
You have a mixed bag of activity. On the one hand, you’re in a most contemplative mood
-- staying tuned to the persistent inner chatter.
On the other hand, your energy level is soaring
sky high, thanks to Mars in your sign. It is
essential that you “get physical.” Your competitive
edge couldn’t be stronger and heaven help
anyone who challenges you to a duel. Carve
out playtime during the full moon. Be aware
that your subconscious is eager to demonstrate
new tricks, so listen to that gut, no matter how
quirky it seems. Professionally speaking, accolades
come your way. Accept them with humility.
If your friends feel as though you’re keeping
too low a profile, they’ll be the first ones to
rustle you out of your shell.
Virgo
(Aug. 23 - Sept. 22)
Curiosity concerning friends and colleagues draws you out of your shy, retiring shell. But it's
vital that you pace yourself due to Mars in your
solar 12th. Volunteering for extras is unwise.
Things are in the brewing stages so don't feel
frustrated if nothing’s getting accomplished.
Clean out clutter around the 11th. Wide, open
spaces hold great appeal. A fanatic for doing
things by the book, you’ll be out of your comfort
zone when Uranus retrogrades. Prepare
yourself for the one constant in life: change.
Bosses appreciate your gift for multi-tasking,
and are envious of your diverse knowledge
base. Welcome new people into you social
circle following the 25th.
Libra (Sept. 23 - Oct. 22)
Professionally speaking, it will be helpful to listen to what the traditionalists have to
say -- even if their stance differs from yours.
Conservative thinking abounds. If you’re
single, get out and socialize; the field is
wide open and you have charm to spare. If
you’re attached, share your partner’s hobbies.
Whether you’re traveling or not during the full
moon, indulge in humorous literature. Upheaval
within the office should be expected, so just
be prepared to be surprised. The latter third of
the month is ideal for exploration, especially of
the long-distance variety. Get new work-related
projects off the ground starting the 26th.
Scorpio (October 23 - November 22)
No matter where you are, you feel at home.
A home away from home may be your preference.
The spotlight inevitably shines upon you,
professionally speaking, but be careful that
you don’t hog the stage. Give credit to those
responsible for where you are today. Not only
is it well deserved, but it also fuels inspiration
for future performances. The full moon brings
with it the temptation to overdo. Double-check
your finances before you splurge. Surprisingly,
new interests peak your curiosity. Your reputation
for passion will not be sullied, especially
late in the month. At the close of the month
keep opinions to yourself.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22 - Dec. 21)
Those who know you well are acutely aware
of your penchant for travel. Well some of the
traveling you’ll be doing will not be visible, as
you’ll take flight in your dreams. Hopefully your
tour guides serve you well there. When you
come back down to your travels here on planet
earth, expect the red carpet to be laid out for
you. Even tethered to a lead balloon, you’ll
be spreading your wings during the full moon
phase since it graces your sign. Expect an inevitable
bump in the domestic road around the
19th. By late month you might consider pairing
up with your opposing sign of the twins, as you
both are feeling flirtatious.
Capricorn (Dec. 22 - Jan. 19)
Despite your inherent wisdom regarding life’s
practical affairs, there’s always room to learn
more. Those around you are motivated by a
sincere desire to offer support. Think back to
how your parents inspired you and apply similar
approaches in your dealings with others.
You may be pleasantly surprised by how much
you can motivate others to appreciate their natural
gifts. Praise matters. Seek solitude around
the 11th and a change of scenery around the
19th. Justifying your workaholic ways will be
easy since work proves enjoyable, thanks to
Venus in your solar 6th late in the month.
Aquarius (Jan. 20 - Feb. 18)
Keeping your mind off the daily routine may prove a daunting task; it’s the time of year when the to-do list seems to escalate. Invest in relationships, marital or otherwise. Compromise is essential, so remember to be flexible. Your naturally social nature
basks in the diversity of humanity you’ll encounter during the full moon phase. Expect a shift in momentum around the 19th, when your ruler, Uranus, reverses his tracks. A ripple in the financial picture manifests. You can use this to your advantage by promoting a peculiar diversity of skills. Take time out to chat with kids, as they have a wealth of knowledge to share. Start new health regimens after the 25th.
Pisces
(Feb. 19 - Mar. 20)
If you don’t feel as though you’re overloaded
with creative ideas, check your birth certificate
to see if you weren’t born under some other
sign. Your mind should be swimming in them,
perhaps some a throwback from yesteryear.
Earth signs will be especially impressed by the
volume of your productivity, if not a tad envious.
Take professional risks during the course
of the full moon. The more the merrier. Your
body could be undergoing chemical changes
-- some becoming more apparent around midmonth.
Creativity isn’t just limited to your work:
the home front benefits from your busy nature
with numerous projects moved to the front
burner.
