Eat
It Raw and Organic to Improve Your Health!
By

Food nutrition can directly affect your health in a positive
way. It has become the 'American way of life' to pick
up dinner at the fast food drive-through, deli counter, or frozen
food section of the grocery store. These quick and easy cooked
foods may be convenient, but it's taking a toll on good health.
If most of the foods you eat are cooked or processed you're
not getting true nutrition. Cooking food destroys all the enzymes
and compromises vitamins and minerals so many people are undernourished
yet overweight.
Modern
day society has made it easy to grab food on the run and eat
whatever is easily available without considering the consequences.
The film 'Supersize Me' featured a previously
healthy young man who became 30 pounds overweight, with high
blood pressure, cholesterol and triglycerides in just 30 days
after eating fast food from McDonald's everyday. Foods full
of additives, preservatives, chemicals, colors, dyes and those
which are genetically altered, irradiated, and chemically fertilized
are contributing to poor health, low energy, depression, learning
disabilities, and a host of other serious ailments.
You can change the vicious circle of bad health into a continuous
path of good health by changing what you eat. Organic raw and
'living' (sprouted) foods are full of enzymes, vitamins,
and minerals, the elements needed for good health. The human
body requires enzymes for every function from digestion to conception.
Without enzymes the body will shut down and die. Cooked food
is devoid of all enzymes. There are enzyme powders and pills
but these can't take the place of living enzymes found in
fresh, organic fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and grains. Pills
are not as effective and can be quite expensive. Vitamins, minerals
and enzymes are in organic fresh fruits and vegetables and since
you're going to eat anyway, why not get your nourishment
and your vitamins and minerals all in one source?
Diseases are caused from toxicity and deficiency in the body
so it is of the utmost importance to detoxify on a regular basis
and to build the body up with good nutrition. Drugs are being
used to treat diseases caused from enzyme and nutrient deficiencies,
but drugs are not the answer. Cancer, diabetes, heart disease,
high blood pressure and obesity are at epidemic proportions
and the health of the American public is steadily deteriorating.
The United States is the fattest nation on the planet and one
of the reasons for this is that people are not getting nourished
at a cellular level so they feel hungry all the time.
Junk food has become a part of the daily routine for many people
and there are few healthy choices in the school cafeterias.
The top foods eaten by children are french fries, pizza and
burgers. It is rare to find fresh fruit and raw vegetables available
in the school lunch line. If there is a salad bar it is usually
covered in toxic preservatives to keep the lettuce from turning
brown.
Conventional produce is grown with chemical fertilizers and
sprayed with pesticides. These toxins contribute to poor health.
Organic food is free of these chemicals and tastes better too.
You may pay a little more for organic produce, but the price
is well worth it when you consider the positive effects on your
health.
Celery contains compounds known as coumarins that are useful
in cancer prevention, lowering blood pressure and in reducing
migraines. Celery is a wonderful reducing food because it has
few calories and a high water content. It is very alkaline and
counteracts acidosis, purifies the bloodstream, aids digestion
and helps clear up skin problems. Apples are astringent and
therapeutic because they are naturally antitoxic. They contain
pectin which acts as an intestinal broom and bulking agent which
binds with radioactive residues and removes them from the body,
along with lead, mercury and other toxic heavy metals. There
are hundreds more of these types of fruits and vegetables which
have amazing health benefits.
Food
is nourishment and medicine provided by Mother Nature so that
we can live a long and disease-free life. When you make poor
food choices you pay the price, so learn all you can about organic
raw and living foods and start adding more of these nutritious
and delicious foods to your diet. You'll feel the difference
with more energy and vitality and you'll be rewarded with
good health.
