Power
Feng Shui

Feng Shui is the Ancient Chinese study of the movement of Chi through
an environment. Actually meaning Wind and Water, Feng Shui principles
allow an environment to be created which will enhance health, prosperity
and overall well being. Power Feng Shui takes these principles to a
higher level.
In Power Feng Shui, the environment is studied as a whole to determine
exactly where the current blocks are located in the family home or in
the workplace. In addition, Power Feng Shui gives us a great diagnostic
tool to determine how best to open the flow in a particular pattern.
Feng Shui principles alone will open the flow of energy, however, sometimes
the greater movement of chi will actually amplify the difficulties instead
of alleviating them. With Power Feng Shui, one is able to access the
creative feelings and thoughts behind the blocks, and then
gently begin the correction process, one step at a time.
The placement of rooms, the arrangement of furniture, the artwork,
the clothes we wear, the colors we choose are a remarkably accurate
reflection of the forces which shape our lives. Power Feng Shui unearths
the clues, analyzes them and prescribes cures that, when followed, lead
to an enhanced sense of well-being, improved relationships, increased
prosperity, and more joyful lives, writes Valmai Howe Elkins.
Valmai Howe Elkins, founder of the Academy of Power Feng Shui at Santa
Fe, was the originator of this deeply insightful approach. In her personal
research, she found that we tell the world what we are experiencing
by what we put in our homes and hang on our walls.
For example, you may know that blocking a door is not good Feng Shui.
You are literally blocking the energy from moving freely. However, simply
knowing the principle doesn't change the pattern within you. Many
people who know better continue to block doorways, or move furniture
so that closet doors can not fully open. And when this is pointed out
to them, they are surprised. The truth is we continually repeat our
personal patterns until they are resolved. If we are feeling blocked,
we are going to block doorways. If we feel as if our light is not getting
out into the world, we are going to have light fixtures that have burned
out bulbs, or that don't even work at all! With Power Feng Shui,
we have the ability to see what is causing these blocks. The blocked
doorway and burned out light are evidence that a pattern exists that
is causing us to live in a state of not being fully supported.
