Audri Scott Williams -
Vision Keeper for World Peace Walk
By
Pastor Lycurgus L. Muldrow, Ph.D
Recipient
of the Home Box Office (HBO) Woman of the Year award,
Audri Scott Williams is one of America's unsung heroines.
Her accomplishments as a servant to humanity are astounding. This
former dean of a college is an author, film producer and world
traveler. In addition, she has performed with youth at the White
House, raised funds to build a school in Ghana, conducted international
Peace Summits, and has walked for months at a time in different
locations around the world for peace and the healing of humanity.
Now Audri is about to embark on a epic journey for peace. She
and a group of walkers will walk around the world for 3fi years
to sow the seeds for a new world of peace.
The Walk will begin on October 21, 2005,
in Atlanta. The public is encouraged to participate, and it is
expected that over a thousand individuals will join for the first
few miles. The core group of World Peace Walkers will then walk
to Mexico and in April, 2006 the general public can join them
for a retreat in the Yucatan to visit the pyramids and to engage
in spiritual ritual.
After walking back north to Los Angeles, they will sail to Hawaii,
walk the Big Island, and sail southwest on a traditional Polynesian
sailing vessel to New Zealand. The ocean journey will then take
them through other continents and countries where they will stop
and walk (Australia, Indonesia, and India, to name a few). Journeying
next to the Red Sea they will enter Egypt. The walk will proceed
across the Arabian Desert to Israel, and then on to several other
countries - i.e., Turkey and Greece. Next they will cross the
Mediterranean Sea to Morocco and walk southwards to Ghana. The
Walkers will fly from Ghana to New York City, and walk from New
York to Atlanta, thus ending the World Peace Walk on April 21,
2009. In total the journey will take them to over 25 different
countries.
Throughout the Walk, walkers will meet with traditional/indigenous
wisdom keepers of the land, and with community and spiritual leaders,
youth and community service organizations. In addition, walkers
will participate in community service projects on weekends when
they arrive at various locations. Also, Artists for Peace will
organize concerts and artistic showings in local communities to
coincide with the arrival of the World Peace Walk.
Whenever a great vision and mission comes from Spirit, the Creator
always gives confirmations. Hale Makua, considered by many to
be the former Head Kahuna of the Hawaii islands, wrote Audri a
letter a week before he transitioned in 2004. He wrote this letter
knowing nothing of her call to walk the world for peace. An excerpt
of the letter declares: "By building and nurturing the positive
vision of world peace and love, our meditations and thoughts (the
energy of) will ripple outwards ... to be felt by all. The more
we acknowledge we are part of a planetary consciousness, and offer
upliftment and inspiration to others around the world, the stronger
those ripples will become, and the farther they will carry. This
is a most crucial time to sow the seeds of a new world of peace
and love. You do make a difference! The spirit of the earth calls
out for us to remember that we are the guardians of the earth.
Answer her call and together, united as one, we will sing this
planet awake."
The World Peace Walk is happening at this point in our history
because it is time. It is time for us to realize that we have
the power/Divine authority to make better choices regarding the
condition of all life on this planet. This World Peace Walk is
not about revolution, it is about evolution. It is about evolving
into the vision of a more humane world driven by love and compassion.
When I first heard of Audri's vision to walk around the world,
I was breath taken. And when she said her spiritual guides, the
Grandmothers, gave her this vision I knew it was to be, and that
the world would be a better place. I am therefore putting out
a special request: Give the World Peace Walkers your
total support!
There
are many ways you can be of assistance and personally participate
in this epic historic journey. First, tell everyone you meet about
this great journey for peace. Then, make a commitment to pray
and meditate for world peace for the next three and a half years.
Next, attend the World Peace Pledge Banquet on Sunday, July 17th
at 3:00pm at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta,
1911 Cliff Valley Way, NE, and meet the Walkers. Call 770
498-0709, or email the Spirit of Truth Foundation with
your donations, large or small, and finally, assist the Walkers
with items that are needed for this walk. A list of these items
can be found at www.nowtimeprophecies.org.
Remember - You do make a difference!
