Honoring Our Divine Mother, Too

When I first began to explore the Divine Feminine and Her many aspects, forms and faces, I was scared that the “real” God was going to strike me down for switching teams. After a life time of images and language that insisted, God is a man, no two ways about it, I was gripped by the fear that questioning the gender of the divine was going to lead to a frightful display of anger from an insulted male Creator. At the very least, there might be some serious reduction of karmic brownie points. It seemed so arrogant to challenge what so many, for so long, had accepted as absolute.

The other problem was that I thought getting into the Goddess groove meant I had to worship only a SHE and practice a spirituality that excluded men. I really didn't want to give up men. I was so glad to find how wrong my initial fears were.
