What
is a Medium?
By Rikki Cole I
remember talking with a friend who was very
involved in various Metaphysical matters and
a talented spiritual healer, Tarot reader,
etc. I was explaining how I saw and talked
with people who had passed away, and asked
her why this was happening. I've done
it all my life and it was really coming on
strong. She said, Rikki, you're
a Medium.
A
Medium? I asked, What's a
Medium?
I
had not spent years studying psychic or metaphysical
things, but I have a strong interest in spiritual
matters. I wasn't an educated mystic.
However, I have come to accept this gift and
embrace the idea that I can be helpful to
others with it.
Being
a middle woman for those on the
other side helps others to heal and have peace
after a loved one has passed over. It is enlightening
to learn how things are over there
and how we can benefit from the love that
makes up our spirit. The there
isn't far away though, just a thought
away.
Is
it real? Most definitely. Anyone who has experienced
a session with a medium can testify to that.
Mediums such as John Edward are on prime time
tv, Hollywood is making a mini series about
James Van Praagh. It's becoming more accepted
and hopefully, bringing a better understanding
of our own spiritual nature.
Before
any reading, I seek the protection of the
white light and ask God for guidance and that
the reading may bring peace and healing. I
believe that God gives gifts and blessings.
It's God's nature. Some say it is
ungodly and I too had trouble with this once.
I found a passage in the Bible that really
helped me in accepting that this was not of
some evil spirit. In I Corinthians 13:4-14,
it says there are diversities of gifts,
administrations, and of operation, but it
is the same Spirit and God which works all
in all. The manifestation of the Spirit is
given to every man to profit withal. One
is
given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to
another, knowledge, to another faith, gifts
of healing, of working miracles, or prophesy.
To another discerning spirits; but all work
in the selfsame Spirit. For as the body is
one, and has many members, and all are one
body; so also is Christ, for the body is not
one member, but many.
Mediums
see spirits in different ways, but the messages
are the same. John Holland, hears the voices
and physically feels. John Edward says he
receives messages via his psychic senses and
symbolic information.
