The
Astrology of a Leader
By Sandra Randel Marianne
Williamson is a woman who has dedicated
her life to teaching forgiveness and spiritual
transformation. How does a person become
a spiritual leader? What is there to learn
from her life?
Astrology
holds some of the answers. Starting with
a wheel chart based on her date, place and
time of birth, let's review the planet known
as the karmic indicator, Saturn. The hard
and neutral aspects Saturn makes to other
planets in her chart tell us what types
of karmic trials must be overcome and hint
at how the karma will play out in her life,
where, and with whom.
Marianne's
wheel chart shows three such aspects. Saturn
and Uranus are in exact square; Saturn and
the Sun are near exact square; and Saturn
and Chiron (an asteroid) are in exact square
aspect... Saturn's in her 4th house
of parents and childhood. Uranus and Sun
are in her 1st house of personality and
self-expression and Chiron is in her 7th
house of marriage and relationships. In
karmic astrology, the 7th house is the union
of the soul and personality; the 1st house
is the emergence of soul expression and
4th house is the preparation for spiritual
liberation.
Saturn
located in the 4th house says she has past
life karma with one or both of her parents
and that karmic problems would erupt in
childhood, rather than later in life. The
Sun symbolizes the dominant parental figure,
so the most likely scenario is that her
karmic episodes involved the parent with
the most control at home. In a spiritual
sense, sun karma is unresolved issues related
to the authorship of her life. It indicates
the time is right in this incarnation to
submit to the will of the Creator, the author
of all lives. I've seen this aspect repeatedly
in the charts of people who do psychological
counseling.
