REVERSING BODY DEGENERATION
By Dr. Thomas Tumbarello
The degenerative process is a part of life and a natural part of the ageing process. Yet many of the limiting or even crippling dysfunctions that arise from degenerative changes in the body can be avoided or at the least minimized.
Over time, the body accumulates stress in many forms. Due to changes in the environment and our lifestyles we are subject to more insults today then ever before – from air pollution, traffic, noise and the daily grind, to the effect of electromagnetic fields from paving the earth, high power electric lines and cell phones.
In the physical form nature follows certain principles – “structure determines function.” As a practical application of this principle, we must take into account what we can do to minimize the contractive compressive effects of stress by addressing the structure of the body.
Back pain is one of the most difficult of all health conditions to treat. (Cost estimates at $90 billion in the USA work place alone.) But from a pragmatic perspective every bump in the road of life, every emotionally heavy thought, all experiences are stored in the supporting structure of the body, the bones, ligaments and discs. Physiologists tell us that the bones are made of what is called ground substance. This is the substance of the earth and contains within it the seeds of time - the Akashic records. This tells us how important your structure is.
The Extentrac M3D is a multi-directional, three-dimensional spinal decompression device that represents a new method for dealing with the consequences of wear and tear degeneration. The primary application is to facilitate healing at the level of the structures most susceptible to the “weight” of life: the spine & discs. M3D Spinal decompression is a recent technology that successfully deals with back pain due to herniated bulging discs, facet syndrome, stenosis and pinched nerves by directing natural unloading gravitational procedures in concert with computer applications.
Physical trauma (obvious or repetitive) causes tearing and shearing of ligaments and disc elements. Ligaments heal with fibrous tissue that is less elastic and less functional than the original tissue. This fibrous change essentially becomes restrictive and degenerative, causing arthritis.
Ligaments are fibrous tissues that support the discs and bones. They can only elongate four percent before they rupture. At this point, degeneration takes place. The body continuously compensates until it is no longer possible to continue.
Over time, the fluid between the discs dries up. The AMA’s Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment noted several studies indicating approximately 30% of persons who have never had back pain will have positive imaging studies for herniated discs and 50% or more positive for bulging discs. This does not include people with incidents of back pain (80% of the population).
Much like the hinges on a door wear unevenly and rust, discs, ligaments, muscles and bones will mold in such a way as to eventually become counterproductive to life. After viewing thousands of X-rays over the years, it is difficult to conclude otherwise.
Manipulations, therapies, exercises and medicines, although helpful through the time of crisis, cannot sustain the pressures needed to reverse the degenerative forces. The application of directional forces must be sustained through a cycle long enough to make a difference on a cellular basis to the tissues of the area involved. Since most of the energy used to bring life to the brain comes from the conversion of mechanical energy (proper movements throughout the spinal column) to electrical energy, proper communication from these levels is essential for any health matter and thinking process. In addition, research shows major pools of endorphins are located in the area this technology focuses on.
Modern spinal decompression (measurable force directed at the level of the disc) offers a great solution. However many devices either only offer traction (pulling force applied to muscle tissue) or are limited to only one direction of movement. They do not unload the spine with natural gravity assists limiting potential therapeutic effects.
M3D is the technology designed to access and effectively, reverse the damages by causing a change in the pressures that lead to degenerative effects, such as slipped or bulging discs, facet syndrome, pinched nerves, stenosis and arthritis. On a cellular level, there is rebuilding of the fibro elastic and collagen type tissues needed in order to rebuild a back, improve spinal movement and eliminate lower back and leg pain.
Also, the disc regains fluid for greater function mechanically relieving pressure on nerve elements. All the experts in the world cannot do what your body has been ordained to do. Given the right circumstances you rebuild your back as you reduce pain and restriction.
From a practical standpoint using decompression after gravity revives an individual. Most patients sleep quite soundly after this protocol as the areas addressed contain significant pools of endorphins, the molecules of emotion.
For the first time after years of standing upright and bearing stress, a methodology has been developed to unwind, restore and rebuild the cellular matrix lost to the years of physical & emotional duress.
