Karma

Finally, he grabbed her by the shoulders and said, You have to trust me. I promise, I'll be back. Now karmically speaking, making promises is ill advised. They bind a soul to making good on the thing that is promised in this life or another.
True
to his nature, the warrior
became one of the first
to enter the fray. Because
of his carelessness, he
was killed in an early
exchange. He gave no thought
to the wife he was leaving
behind with no way of
supporting herself.
His
widow became angry and
bitter. Her main memory
of her husband was that
he had broken a promise.
As a result, her life
turned into a very difficult
and painful struggle.
Janice
had the shocking realization
that her husband today
had been the soldier's
unforgiving wife. Karmic
bonds run deep.
Janice
now understood that the
conflict and financial
burden during her divorce
was a direct result of
her carelessness as the
soldier in a past life.
Her husband's demand
for financial support
was karmic payback for
the promise she'd
broken to return from
battle.
With
this new understanding
Janice's rancor dissolved.
Her anger had only been
aggravating the situation
by strengthening a negative
karmic bond.
Janice
eventually divorced her
husband. Noting the difference
in her response to him
since her Soul Journey
session, Janice reported
that she no longer got
into arguments with her
ex-husband. She viewed
his behavior with a lack
of resentment, more objectivity,
and even with amusement
at times. Her ex gradually
began to recover financially.
The energetic karmic shift
resulting from Janice
forgiving herself for
that past life also shifted
the dynamic between her
and her ex-husband. The
truth of her past life
relationship, actions,
and the karma she had
created then had set Janice
free emotionally. She
also found compassion
for her ex-husband.
That
instant recognition we
have when we first meet
a potential mate is one
soul recognizing another.
What we don't realize
is that the stronger that
initial attraction, the
stronger the karmic ties
from past lives.
Falling
in love is more like falling
in karma. If the past
lives we shared were full
of love those we meet
may come to be our best
friends or ideal partners.
These are true soul mates.
No
matter the history, karmic
relationships require
one thing to eventually
free us to experience
their most desired possibilities.
That one thing is
unconditional love.
The
only way out of a challenging
karmic relationship is
to love your way out.
With this in your mind
and heart karma can become
a friend. It's all
a matter of choice from
moment to moment.
