Apparently
the divine creator wants us to get a glimpse
of his warped sense of humor. Yes, why not
begin the year with Mercury retrograde on
January 2, in concert with the new moon and
solar eclipse in Capricorn? Perhaps it's
better this way, getting it done and over
with first thing. The winged messenger goes
forward again January 23, but lingers in its
shadow until Valentine's Day. Other cosmic
activity consists of Venus and Mars moving
into Sagittarius on the 7th and 17th respectively,
and let's not forget the full moon in
Cancer on the 18th.
Your
subconscious works overtime, thanks to your
ruler, Mars, traversing your solar 8th House
until the 17th. If you're insistent on
logging your full eight hours of sack time,
don't beat yourself up because you're
feeling lazy. It's your inner voice demanding
recognition, and one of the best ways to make
that happen is by indulging in that all-important
REM sleep. The solar 8th House activity heightens
the libido, suggesting that if a private detective
were following you, they might be led to the
local sex toy shop. Meanwhile, the Mercury
retrograde may wreak havoc on your relationship
with superiors. Getting a firm commitment
from them is about as likely as Saddam stepping
down, so don't hold your breath until
the winged one rights himself after the 23rd.
Since
your solar 8th House will also be triggered,
especially from the 18th forward, you might
want to follow the above-mentioned private
detective who's casing your cosmic neighbor.
You'll have little trouble using your
persistence to entice your romantic partner,
as your pheromones seem to be working overtime.
Financially speaking, make yourself aware
of the talents and resources that others bring
to the table. As much as you see yourself
as an independent sort, you might find that
a merger scratches both your backs. Some travel
might be in order, most likely to places you've
been before, thanks to Mercury's
retrograde motion. If you happen to be treading
on totally new territory, chances are the
scenery feels familiar.
