With all the distressing news these days, it's wonderful to find a CD that will relieve and enliven your soul. Journey to the Heart II Music for Meditation, is such an album. Uma, Kitaro, Luis Perez, Dave Eggar, Gary Lamb, Stephen DeRuby and others have contributed tracks to this inspiring compilation. It brings influences from many cultures and traditions to aid in quiet reflection and healing work. Cultivating a heart of peace is the first step toward healing the world. Journey to the Heart II will be of great benefit in that work.

Expect the Unexpected with Feed the White Dog by Svadesh. Just when you think you've got a clue what might be coming next, there's another surprise. I don't want to ruin it for you, but it ranges from water sounds and meditative music, to full choirs, to a folky number, to a guitar rampage, Native American flute, and a choir chanting Om Nama Shiva. The lyrics evolve from the viewpoint of someone searching for answers to realization of those answers. Although the overall sound is primarily rock, there are elements of jazz, world, and classical (Pachelbel's Canon!). Just try to categorize this one!
