The Golden Gate is the only gate which has been sealed, and the only one with twin arches. The significance of this gate to the geomancy of the city can hardly be overestimated. It allows the energies from the east (the light of the Sun) to come into the city, and the first thing that light hits is the Dome of the Rock. The energy runs down a straight line, called the Messianic line. It was prophesied that the Messiah would come from the east through the Mount of Olives and the Golden Gate, into the Temple, and then to the place of crucifixion and the resurrection. In the east, this line ends at the Church of Ascension, where Jesus last touched the Earth before He ascended. From there it goes through the Mt. of Olives, the Golden Gate, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and terminates at the Holocaust War Memorial!!

When the Moslems took over Jerusalem in 600 AD, the gate was sealed with concrete to prevent the Messiah from fulfilling the prophesy. Another significance of this gate is revealed when you look at the geomancy of the land.

To the east are the feminine rolling hills of the Mt. Of Olives, the location of Mother Mary's tomb, and the line runs through the Church of Mary Magdelene. The Essenes considered Mary Magdelene a priestess of Isis. So a major area of the land is dedicated to Goddess energy. As we trace this Messianic line to the west, it enters the old city through  the Golden Gate. There, it enters the male, patriarchal area of Jerusalem: Mt. Moriah, with its connections to Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Mohammed.

At this gate, I asked the land what we should do there. It was revealed that the archetype of the divine relationship of the cosmic male and female was to be reminded to the land. I was given an image of the co-creative relationship between Jesus and Mary, and that they were anchoring these energies into these most important places.

My companion, Alberto, and I looked into one another's eyes and endeavored to see the divine Male and the divine Female in one another, and honor that sacred space within one another. The energies which came through us were palpable, as if a flood gate opened. We were in tears and amazement at this simple and yet profound experience. In the Bible, it is prophesied that the Golden gate will open to herald the Messiah's return. Perhaps this was a preparation for that event?

So center, boundary, gateway, these keys can unlock many doors of exploration and co-creation. May you use this knowledge with wisdom and joy.
