2002:
A Year of Partnership and Solid Foundations
I
hope your holidays were great! I personally had the
best ever. This was the first time in over thirty
years that I didn't have a retail store, or a
bar-to-tend. So as it should be, I had extra time
and packed
 my
days and nights with all the stuff I always wanted
to do. My best friend Deb was here, visiting from
Israel for the holidays, and we introduced her 16-month
old daughter, Natanelle, to Santa. I also have twin
boys, Antonio and Nicholas, in my life, so I've
been blessed with babies around me and, as they say
children keep you young. I think I look ten years
younger! (Sure!) Well,
young or not, there is nothing more special than the
babes! Children are not just our future, they are,
at least for me, a reason to open my heart and love
with no holding back and no fear of rejection. Just
pure joy!

Ending
2001 was OK with me. I had a year of learning some
interesting lessons. At the Aquarius office, for the
last ten years, we've had an office manager, that
in my opinion, was the glue that knew all. She was
the person that handled billing. As we all understand,
if a company's receivables and payables don't
consistently flow like they should, there is no foundation
and no growth. As only God/Goddess could orchestrate,
my office manager left at the end of 2000, within
weeks of selling my bookstore (SunGlo) and I was faced
with learning how to open and operate the computer
and how the billing process works as well. Of course,
nothing happens by accident and my biggest fear was
brought to me. I believe we can manifest with our
thoughts and I must admit instead of taking the bull
by the horns, which is my usual way of handling a
situation, this time I let years go by, staying in
fear and trusting others to keep Aquarius on solid
foundation.
Now
the Aquarius is
stronger than ever. We
just entered our tenth year and will celebrate in
the summer with a party to be announced next month.
Office
manager stuff wasn't the only thing I learned
in 2001 that produced growth. Being the glue keeps
you in touch with every aspect. We now distribute
papers in Birmingham, AL, and Asheville, NC. By spring,
we will be in Chattanooga, TN, and Cartersville,
Jasper, Calhoun, and Rome, GA.
