Gift Giving by the Signs

     Yes, itıs that time of year again- gift-giving season.

     If there is not enough time to ponder the perfect gift for each person on your list, astrology can help! Here are a few suggestions to get your holiday imagination jump-started:

    For the Aries in your life, a little red sports car is always a good standby. If they already have one, a set of Henkle knives will be a good choice. Anything in the color red is important and things made of iron - bar bells, fireplace accessories, equipment for their personal gym. Perhaps a day when their wish is your command.

     For Taurus, a little Picasso will be the right thing. Or perhaps a new potting shed - fully equipped. They enjoy classic home and garden decorations. They don't mind the old standby - money. It really does talk to them. Other ideas: perfumes, aromatherapy, scarves, jewelry. They get good energy from things made of copper or anything sensual. Emerald green is a great color for them.

   A Gemini might prefer a bicycle; no, make that a Harley made for two with his/hers cell phones!! They may also prefer a personally written book, telling how you feel about them and adding some of your favorite poems, songs, etc. Diaries, calendars, calligraphy lessons or pens are all good choices. Ruled by Mercury, they'd like anything silver or yellow. Nothing that will make them stay in one place too long is for this sign.

    With your Cancer, it's time to go ahead and hand down the family silver or give them family photos for their desks in antique silver frames. They appreciate a romantic evening at home with a home-cooked dinner, candlelight and a fine wine. Pearls, silver, perhaps new cookware, or a scrapbook with memories of the two of you. Rest assured that your sentimental Cancer will appreciate the heirlooms and pass along the stories that go with them.

    Feed the inner Leo child with the complete Lionel Train Set or perhaps a miniature doll house with all accessories. Theatre tickets, a trip to Las Vegas, a romantic dinner in a fine restaurant are also good. Ruled by the sun, donıt forget things like a beach chair, sun porch accessories, sun glasses, gold, and things in yellows and oranges and ambers.

    Your picky Virgo is the organizer of the zodiac. How about color-coded coat hangers for the perfectly organized closet? No? Then a leather desk set or matching sweaters for the Virgo and their pooch: they adore their four-footed children. Perhaps a gift certificate for their favorite health food store. They enjoy what I call 'care packages': a big box full of many small gifts. Desk organizers, personalized stationery, the colors khaki and peridot look well on them.

    You can bet your Libra will not be alone - ever: so something like his/hers tanning beds or a day at the “Red Door” (Liz Claiborne's day spa) and whatever the equivalent would be for a guy. The blue topaz is their signature color/stone. A gift certificate for a local renowned designer would not be sniffed at, nor would designer bed sheets, jewelry boxes or chests.

    Your Scorpio would probably prefer a regression session or a talk to the other side with that medium that helped Cher speak to Sonny recently. Their colors are blood red and black and sometimes white. They will enjoy the sexy lingerie you purchase, or leather clothing - anything sensuous.

    A race horse for your Sagittarius will be a hit. One or two tickets to Europe will be promptly used. A set of “The Great Books” or nice luggage is great. A new snow ski outfit, titanium golf club, or gym equipment will please your sporty Sag. Their colors are orange or purple, sometimes, but rarely together.

    Plant a big hardwood tree for your Capricorn. Then put a solid gold knocker on their door engraved with their name, and title, as well. Their colors are navy, brown and black. Important stones for them are onyx, lapis and diamonds. Get your favorite Cappy an old fashioned pocket watch. Give them autobiographies of powerful people and mountain -climbing paraphernalia.

    The Aquarian on your gift list will be easy. Just be sure it is the latest gadget, gizmo or electrical fad. The palm held computer or a tv/wristwatch are sure winners. Movie passes, club memberships, motorcycles, New Age books, or sky-diving gift certificates keep them from getting stale. Their colors are azure, turquoise, sky blue and aquamarine.

    AAhhh - the Pisces. Send a contribution to the “save the baby seals fund” in their name. Well, what about a UFO vacation trip? Pisces will enjoy an aquarium (something similar to the one in Chattanooga should do), a stained glass window, a lily pond or a psychic reading. Their colors are purple, amethyst, and blue-green.

    I hope this will give you a few good ideas for those on your gift-giving list this year. And, as always, if you get stumped, an astrological reading or update goes well with any sign of the zodiac.
