LOOKING BACK
- A Year of Fear & Frustration

As I was leaving the office last night, I commented that I was going to write about what a shit year this has been… Christopher asked, “Was it???” I said, “Yes – for a lot of people.” There is a war going on, gas prices hurt everybody’s bottom line financially. Our country went through serious divisions in our political system where nothing was done for the whole country.

So, I thought it would be interesting to go over the year we’re leaving behind using Time Magazine headlines. The beginning of the year started with outrage and allegations of the government spying on us, tapping our
phones and a lobbyist that took “gifting” to new levels of greed.

For a while, we zoomed in on “Global Warming” and just how worried we should be. I thought it was very interesting that Time Magazine labeled the Dixie Chicks the “Radical Chicks” for saying they were ashamed of President Bush. I didn’t even know who they were, and still don’t understand why anyone would care what they say? It wasn’t like they said something different than half the American citizens were also saying. Around springtime we started to hear voices asking for Rumsfeld’s head. The Opus Dei Code was unveiled as a secret society within the Catholic Church in the DiVinci Code (who knew?).

Then we got a shake up about how many people are sick and how much isn’t covered by our expensive health insurance. I’m hospital-phobic; I don’t visit them at all. If you’re a friend, I’m not thinking of what I can bring you; No, I’m thinking of what I can send you! In May, the Times had an autistic child on one of the covers bringing awareness to the recent increase in childhood illness.

Then we had Enron justice, the truth about Stem Cells, College costs spiked high, but much of the last half of the year was about War, Wartime Leaks, Terrorists, Border Control, and more Washington Sex Scandals.
All in all, it was an eventful year, without many solutions.

I think we’re all sick that we went into this War, and sooner or later even the righteous right will have to agree this was a mistake. We will pay dearly for invading another country and the world will want us to grovel for years so we learn this lesson well. But we must move on and bring our troops home. Maybe we could support the Iraqi government and citizens by giving them the money it was costing us to be there, and instead we get out, or set up areas to just help train their military. A place totally secure or maybe we could train the Iraqis somewhere else and bring them back when they are as able as our US soldiers. What ever happens there, we should help them build the infrastructure that we helped to destroy.

I watched Comic Relief the other night and really enjoyed the benefit for rebuilding a section of the ninth ward in New Orleans. I liked that they focused on an area and a doable mission. I remember hearing Robbin Williams say, “Mr. President, we could rebuild New Orleans and bring all its people home if we had the money from one or two days of what we are spending in Iraq.”

We are Americans and we will never forget or not rebuild an American City.
In my humble opinion I think it was a great year for shaking things up. At the start of the century, I remember writing that, “all things not built on truth would crumble.” This will continue to happen, until we are all doing the work we came to Earth to do.

It’s all GOOD; every lesson is just a lesson that we need to learn and to help us grow. Look at the positive side of life. See what positive aspects come out of the hardest times.

Listen to people that have lost their homes and you hear hope, not despair. We watched the Tsunami, the New Orleans disaster, the victims of this horrible War and you see and hear people with hope. Being thankful for the smallest blessings of what they have left to build on. Where do they get the will to move forward?

Metaphysics is the umbrella for all Spiritual beliefs, so to define it is almost impossible. I say, “we are a belief system that honors all religions, but agrees with the more spiritually (unknown) psychic phenomenon aspects of life.” We’re starting to see our belief system pop-up everywhere. I knew the Universal energy that some call God, or Goddess, or whatever name you need to use, would hit mainstream through the communications. We had “What the Bleep”, we had “The Secret” and now we have “Conversations with God.” We try to give links to these movies on our Preferred Web Page. http://www.aquarius-atlanta.com/prelinks.html

One of the best things for me is seeing our stuff on “Larry King Live.”
I remember watching Larry in the past (one of my favorite shows) trying to interview John Edward or James Van Praagh, or Sylvia Brown, and stumbling questions that would make sense and still be informative for the viewer. But, I must say, he’s come along way. He recently had a panel of folks that were in the movie “What the Bleep” and did a great job. He seemed impressed with the panel and commented that he would be doing a lot more on these subjects. This particular night they spoke about vision boards and positive thinking, visualization, etc. I can’t wait to hear him conduct interviews on subjects like Reincarnation, Blessed Water, Karma and Quantum Theory. That will be a show!!!!

Have a Blessed Holiday Season
Bye honeys
