Fruits Of the Spirit For August 2004
Greetings!
Alafia (Peace and Prosperity) to all.
This August, look out! The winds of change blow hard. Many will find
the month of August a difficult and arduous taskmaster. There are more
self-inspired changes that may bring you the blues. Don't fret the
change; just change what you don't like about you, not what others
want you to change.
Be very cautious and persevere to use your money wisely because it will
run out as quickly as it ran in. This signals that money projects need
careful thought to have victory over mounting bills, build prosperity
or meet whatever needs you have. Remember that hard work and careful
planning brings a solid harvest. This is the season to harvest the fruits
of your labor.
Take time to honor Oya, great mother of commerce, for any abundance
you receive. Offer Oya red wine and red grapes to thank her for the
swift winds of change that bring prosperity and abundance.
This month look within to communicate with spirit because it may seem
like everybody is against you. Your points are difficult to make, your
words don't flow as they should. Let the divine spirit talk
through you. Call on your Orishas, Angels or other Spirit Guardians
to provide you with inspired words. Don't worry, this process is
temporary and you will regain the use of your voice. In the meantime
try saying this Oriki (African Prayer-Poem) to Esu the messenger of
the Great Spirit Oludumare.
Esu, do not undo me,
Do not falsify the words of my mouth,
Do not misguide the movements of my feet,
You who translate yesterday's words
Into novel utterances,
Do not undo me,
I bear you sacrifice.
Add to the prayer with offers of money to Esu; ask your human spiritual
guides, priest or priestess to communicate with Esu to open the way
for you.
Osun governs the home and ignites the sensual impulses to socialize,
flirt and charm willing subjects. Yes, you can satisfy the urge to be
flirtatious and charming by entertaining others in your home. But control
yourself and stay within the limits of appropriate behavior, because
an indiscretion could cost you everything you love. Renew interest in
making your home an exciting love nest and protect yourself with an
Ankh or other love charm to keep your love faithful.
Emotional struggles within become barriers to creating. Don't
fight by trying to start new projects, work on the ones that you need
to complete. Find truth and harmony by acting with wisdom. Save your
money and postpone pursuing new interests.
Love relationships and partnerships are fruitful and show up ready to
be harvested; look for great signs of mutuality to occur. You and your
partner are ready to transcend into greater levels of commitment. This
is a mixed blessing because change will come quickly. This process can
be painless if you and your partner look for ways to share good ideas
and build on foundations of love. As the winds of change occur in your
individual situations seek a positive Libran to assist the process.
Then you and your partner shall reap the benefits of a bountiful abundance
in matters of the heart.
The universe opens to bring new jobs to those seeking change in employment.
Jobs will fall into place and move you on your way towards accepting
situations that bring stability and perhaps the journey towards your
life's purpose.
The desire to grow spiritually is strong this month as changes prompt
the need to bring clarity into your life. You can satisfy your spiritual
side by studying principles of Obatala or Jesus Christ and their mystical
teachings.
Teachers of children start the school year opening up to the great mother
spirit Yemoja. Focus on unusual teaching strategies to connect with
your students.
In some hearts, you are wishing to end the continuing hurt of past relationship.
Be patient, the hurt will leave when you release the past. Know that
time heals all wounds both mental and physical. (Iba se' Egungun
Baba) I honor my ancestor father for sharing those words of wisdom.
Those holding on to secret fears of financial ruin pray for relief.
Please be at peace knowing Oludumare loves his children. You can manifest
the relief you seek. Ask and you shall receive. Believe in your inner
power to bring positive change to your life. This month embrace change,
honor the Goddesses within, nurture yourself and transcend the mundane
challenges of daily living.
