Ask
and You Shall Receive
I hope
everyone is having a nice summer. Time is really flying by and there
is so much to do. I wish I could invite you'all over to my house
for a BBQ or something because I really would like to know how  you're
doing and what's important to you. How do you manifest the things
in your life that you want and do you take the time to consciously ask?
You know, in the Bible, it says: “Ask and you shall receive.”
I always thought 'ask' was a strange little word, but if you
dissect it, it might be a very important clue to life. A = ASK, that
seems simple enough and we all probably think we do, but we don't.
I recently went a few rounds with a word expert; he's a psychic
friend who, over the years, has made me conscious of how many negative
words I can put in one sentence. Try thinking of how impossible it is
to talk and not use words like don't, can't, and not. It really
takes listening to your own words and forming a whole new vocabulary.
But, let me get back to the 'A' letter. My friend, Frank, was
saying, “How do you expect the universe to assist you when you
don't ask for what you want?” And I was adamant that I do.
But after the conversation continued in depth, I saw that one more time
he was right and that I don't ask in a way that makes my needs clear.
My friends, family, co-workers and the universe are all willing to be
there for me but I must ask in positive ways that would relay my request
for the results I want to manifest.

Example: Fall is coming and I don't want a cold. WRONG! The universe
doesn't recognize 'don't,' so in that sentence you just
asked for a cold. That sucks. I hope they got that! Another example;
You're sitting in traffic and the gas gauge shows your automobile
is almost out of gas. Naturally, you go into prayer, pleading to God,
please don't let me run out of gas. WRONG, you just asked to run
out of gas. The universe does not compute this information, so if it
worked for you, it wasn't divine intervention. You were just lucky.
Next letter 'S' for “Seek and you shall find.” How
many of us seek out anything? Seek means (to me) get off the couch,
take real time out of your life and possibly your comfort zone to find
real answers to enhance your life. This means there is no free lunch.
It was always meant for us to contribute to our own fulfillment by seeking
out our mission. The best way to do this is to practice trusting your
intuition. The universe will constantly direct your steps to find your
own truth. But you must trust it.
