February Astrology

We welcome February and the sign of Aquarius. This is the time of wild revolutionaries, electric ideas and futuristic advancement. With the Sun in Aquarius, we all feel the push to embrace our highest vision of what a 'perfect' world looks and feels like. We are able to detach from our messier emotions and observe them through a filtered lens of objective thought. Aquarius is the genius rebel, questioning establishments and protesting tyranny. The Water-Bearer is no longer attached to the things of the world and sees humanity as a united whole. Freedom and living truthfully are its highest priorities.

Saturn is moving into a Retrograde motion this month and will not go direct until June 24th. This signals a period of time to review al l our foundations to make sure they are solid and well-laid. If they are found lacking in stability, this could indeed require some serious work. Since Saturn is in the relationship sign of Libra, this will have a profound influence on our marriages, long-term partners, friendships and working associations. Be ready to make those adjustments!

Be sure to note our ongoing Mars retrograde. Patience is the order of the day as the planet of direct action and forward drive is put in the passenger seat. One can imagine the car is being driven by a wise old man (Saturn), while his fiery teenage grandson (Mars) becomes frustrated at the slow and steady pace. It will only be frustrating until we learn to enjoy that scenic route the Universal Grandfather is taking us on right now!

Our Leo Full Moon occurs on the 7th and promises to bring color, drama and heart-felt emotions to the surface. We begin a New Moon phase in Pisces on the 21st, which is our time to breathe life into creative projects and spiritual discoveries.

Aquarius

Of all the Zodiac, yours is the sign that is most often accused of being emotionally cold and distant. Does it not strike you odd then, that the ultimate 'love' holiday of Valentine's Day should be celebrated while the Sun is in your sign? Legends of course, tell that St. Valentine was martyred for marrying lovers against the Emperor's wishes. Pisces

Aries

Libra

You might be singing 'Love is a battlefield' by the end of this month, as graceful Venus charges through your opposing sign of feisty Aries. All relationship interactions are prone to unpredictability and erratic behavior. Breathe through and be patient with feelings to do something rash in your love life. 2012 is primed to put you through a last testing ground with your relationships. Scorpio

250 million years ago, an impressive underwater scorpion called 'Hibbertopterus' roamed the seas. It is unknown if this creature possessed any venom, but it was not important due to the fact that this denizen was around the size of a household tabletop. As we move through February and into the ocean of Pisces, keep in mind that your simple presence is enough to inspire awe and fascination. No need to use that infamous venom. This is a time of rest and healing, take a sea salt bath and recuperate like your prehistoric cousins.

Sagittarius

This month's energy requires a little scientific refresher about the nature of water and electricity. Water, in it's purest, cleanest form is not a good conductor for electric currents. Impurities like dust, salt, etc. are what enable better conductivity. You will be feeling the confusion of Pisces water and the wildness of Aquarius electricity, which can have an intense effect on your emotions and decisions. Look to some of your own ppersonality quirks or 'impurities' to better conduct the flow of what is coming to you. A lightning rod grounded deep in the earth is also a good idea.

Capricorn

The trouble is, they can't always back out of their awkward situations easily. Right now, Capricorn has a wealth of planetary power in it's corner.
