Women’s Health Issues

By Brenda Cobb

...There are many health issues that women face today. Heart disease is the number one killer of women. In the last 35 years the number of women with diabetes has tripled. Fibroids, endometriosis, tumors and cysts in the uterus, ovaries and female reproductive organs are on the rise. Cancers of all types are affecting women and in fact lung cancer kills more women than breast cancer. Depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis, lupus, migraine headaches and multiple sclerosis are just a few of the many diseases that women are affected with.

...Women can choose to take responsibility for personal health and learn what to do to heal the body and prevent diseases from happening. The body is a miraculous machine and created to heal itself. There is no incurable, hopeless or terminal illness. Diseases come from two main reasons, toxicity and deficiency. Additives, preservatives, colors, chemicals, dyes, hormones, and antibiotics in food contribute to high levels of toxicity and acidity which lead to imbalances and disease. Over-the-counter and prescription drugs are some of the most toxic substances you can put in the body. Read the side effects for drugs and you have to wonder what will kill you first, the disease or the drug used to “cure” it.
Lifestyle changes can benefit a person greatly. Detoxifying the body and putting in whole food nutrition can assist in rebuilding and regenerating. You are what you eat and food affects your body. Fried foods are full of transfats which not only clog the arteries, they create free radicals which speeds up aging and breaks down internal organs.

...Dairy products and meat including beef, pork, chicken, turkey, fish and seafoods are full of chemicals, heavy metals, hormones and antibiotics. When you eat these foods you are ingesting large amounts of toxins. Meats give off uric acid which causes gout, arthritis and rheumatism. Meats rot and putrefy in the colon forming a breeding ground for parasites and worms.
...Over indulgence in alcohol will prematurely age you and destroy your liver. Smoking cigarettes causes heart disease and cancer. Women have suffered through unnecessary hysterectomies in the attempt to rid the body of fibroids, endometriosis, tumors and cysts, but in reality surgery doesn’t work. In most cases masses grow back again.

...With any type of disease or imbalance in the body there is an emotional component and it is extremely important to address and heal the emotional as well as the physical elements. To completely rid the body of diseases these emotional issues must be dealt with. When a woman has been hurt deeply she will tend to hold it inside. She may become very angry and feel that nothing can make her feel better. When she decides to become the “victim” and hate the person she feels “did her wrong”, she creates an acidic body. Anger stores in the liver and hardens it. Fear affects the kidneys until they are not working properly to detoxify the body. Anger and hate are enough to make the body physically sick. Blood pressure rises, blood sugar escalates, the heart beats faster and a knot develops in the stomach.

...Second to emotions, poor diet is the cause of disease. Problematic foods are those containing caffeine, meats, fried fat, refined carbohydrates, sugar, flour, white rice, artificial sweeteners such as aspartame and saccharine, processed foods, salt and alcohol, and of course, the additives and chemicals that are added to foods.

...No one can give you good health and no one can take it away. Good health takes work, effort and a willingness to adopt a healthy lifestyle. What goes into your body creates it. Every bit of food and drink affects your health. Every thought and word creates your life. Every emotion affects you.
Become empowered. Learn all you can about your body. Think before you eat and speak. Heal the emotional “stuff” that is buried deep inside. Food is the nourishment that creates every cell and fiber of your body. Your thoughts also create every part of you. Two of the most important things you can do for yourself are to put good nutrition in, EAT HEALTY FOOD, and THINK only POSITIVE thoughts that create the life and health you desire. Make decisions that are good for you. You will benefit greatly and become the best you can be. YOU ARE WORTH IT! Do not let anything or anyone hold you back!
