HOPE IN THE KATRINA CRISIS
By Dr. Lycurgus L. Muldrow
........Was it a surprise? Were we taken by surprise at the disaster of
this category 4 hurricane, and the aftermath of flooding and death? Or
was it prophesied before hand? And did prayers and work in Spirit help ease the pain and suffering?
........ Early in 2005, the Grandmothers (Audri Scott Williams’ Divine Spirit Guides who direct her life) gave her a
written message. They said that in the third quarter of 2005 there would be potential disasters in the south central United States. Excerpts taken from this extensive message about the year of 2005 are as follows:
.......“Areas to be watchful of...the central region of the United States...from the Gulf region... Nature shows up in the third quarter (of 2005) as the third wave comes upon the earth... Anticipate the potential disasters as things that will affect a shift in consciousness calling humanity to embrace the unity of the human family. Anticipate an even greater blow to the
financial stability of the United States. The U. S. must rise to the occasion of financing the majority of the humanitarian efforts that will take place...The third quarter will be redistributive of powers at personal,
national, and global levels... Power and privilege are rarely given up or even shared without a struggle. Therefore, we urge those that can and those who will to be in prayer and meditation as this shift
begins…”
....... To the many who had read the Grandmothers’ prophecy for the year, it was no surprise when Katrina and the subsequent flooding in New Orleans occurred. Consequently, there was a blanket of prayers, meditation and preparation to help heal this region of the United
States before disaster struck.
........
As it was reported in the July 2005
issue of Aquarius, Audri Scott Williams and a core group of World Peace Walkers (Karen Watson, Tony Shina, Lessie Pat Randall, Chandelle Binns, Caryl Polk, Chelsea Polk, Anne Devine, Ricardo and Lynette Myrick) will be undertaking a journey to walk around the world for peace. Several
months ago when the Grandmothers gave the walkers the route to take they did not understand why the Grandmothers were emphatic about them walking to and through the south central United States. In fact, the prepublished route that they are taking walks them through 12 cities that have been damaged by Katrina.
....... In addition, they had already started putting in place community activities for these cities before the hurricane was announced.
........ Now to make this point clear: The Trail of Dreams World Peace Walkers had planned to stop walking every weekend and engage in community service or other needed activities. The Grandmothers
knew that their energy of peace would be needed in these devastated areas. And that their peaceful presence will not only be a symbolic representation, but one of energetic change.
........ In fact, the Trail of Dreams Teams and Peace Partners have already risen to the occasion and answered the call to serve. On Saturday, September 3rd, the Trail of Dreams Team joined with Sagon RV to transport mobile homes (for temporary housing) to Gulfport, Mississippi. After a grueling 32 hours on the road, our team successfully accomplished its mission and returned home to Atlanta on Sunday afternoon. We encourage everyone to join us through engagement in answering the call when there is a need within our communities and beyond.
....... So yes, there is hope in the devastated areas of south central United States. And the hope stems from your willingness to answer the call in prayer, meditation and service. Hope also comes from the fact that the divine, loving, spirit of the feminine Grandmothers has prepared loving souls to enter into intercessory prayer through planning, walking and service. The Universal Feminine principle of compassion has not forgotten the desolate souls in this region of the country, but they have actually prepared vessels to walk symbolically and energetically for the healing of this land and the world.
The Trail of Dreams World Peace
Walk will begin on October 21, 2005, and
take three and a half years to walk around
the world for peace. On October 22nd the
community of Atlanta, GA will be celebrating
the Trail of Dreams World Peace
Walk. You are invited to join the activities
that will take place at the Martin Luther
King, Jr. Center on Auburn Avenue from
11am to 12:30pm. Following the activities
the community will walk a symbolic
2 miles with the Trail of Dreams Team as
they continue their walk for global peace.
